Minnesota’s Spiciest Celebration, Cinco de Mayo Fiesta 2011 is just around the corner but our traditional event Button Sale opportunity is here!  Participation in our button sale offers both fundraising and business marketing opportunities.  Purchasing a button offers local business discounts and the chance to win valuable prizes.
 
Interest is in fundraising?  Here’s how it works. Your organization earns 50% of your sales!  That’s right!  Your organization keeps $1.00 of every $2.00 button you sell! This is a great opportunity for youth organizations such as athletic teams, student council, church or community groups to fundraise.

 

Interested in advertising your business by having your establishment listed on the registration card attached to every button?  Simply offer a discount to patrons when they present their button.  Your business will also be listed on our website www.districtdelsol.com.

A wide variety of activities for children – including face painting, storytelling, cultural crafts, a petting zoo, inflatables, and more – can be found in the Children’s Area.  This is a place where you can experience Cinco de Mayo Fiesta with the whole family!

The History Area celebrates the rich history and traditions of the Cinco de Mayo Fiesta, the West Side community and the Hispanic/Latino population in Minnesota.


 
Community Wellness Village sponsored by State Farm Insurance Companies
Open 9 AM-6 PM on Saturday, the Community Wellness Village is dedicated to positive physical, mental, spiritual and cultural health, and encourages consumer wellness through providing a variety of informative, supportive and educational resources.

Plaza Quinceanera

For the first year ever, the 2011 Cinco de Mayo Fiesta will be hosting a Plaza Quinceanera. At the Plaza Quinceanera, you will be able to visit various companies' booths who specialize in different services which will help make your next Quinceanera a special event. The Cinco de Mayo Fiesta is currently looking for vendors who would like to participate in this area. Cinco Sports Zone
The Cinco Sports Zone encourages fun and athletic activities, featuring amateur and professional Minnesota sports organizations.  The Cinco Sports Zone is a great place for young people and the whole family! 
 


5K Menudo Run & 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk
Warm up for the Cinco de Mayo Fiesta on Saturday morning at the Third Annual 5K Menudo Run and 1-Mile Family Walk/Run.  The race course follows the Mississippi River bluffs, and awards will be presented to the top 5K male and female finishers in these categories: 19 & younger, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & older.  The race is sponsored by the National Latino Peace Officers Association MN Chapter in partnership with the Riverview Economic Development Association.
